Harrow Council is recruiting people to speak up for the borough's pensioners.
Harrow East MP Tony McNulty and deputy council leader Councillor Keith Toms met senior citizens on Monday to launch Partnership with Older People (Pop). The council is seeking 40 members for a Pop panel which will be used as a sounding board for council policies.
Sixteen per cent of Harrow residents are of pensionable age and the council was one of 28 local authorities selected by the Government to trial the Better Government for Older People initiative.
