YouGov: Expanding it's market research into the US

The market research and polling company is making a down-payment of almost £4m. Then over the next three years, it will hand over £4.4m - dependent on how Harrison performs.

Harrison's business includes producing the 'American Pantry Study', which tracks how consumers shift their grocery purchasing habits according to fluctuations in the economy. YouGov (up 0.5p at 39p) made its first foray into the US in 2006, when it bought a stake in Polymetrics.
