Cussons' figures scrub up nicely
Imperial leather owner PZ Cussons said first-quarter trading met its expectations as it benefited from successful new soap products.
The firm said it was 'cautiously optimistic' for the full year, after the successful launch of a new hand wash and Imperial leather 'Skin Kind'.
Cash generation in PZ Cussons' key markets of the UK, Australia, Indonesia and Nigeria also matched forecasts in the 15 weeks to 12 September, the company said.
And it added that the end of a major capital expenditure programme has left it in a healthy cash position.
