InterContinental revenue rise

 

Third quarter revenues at InterContinental Hotels Group jumped by 6.7% in the Americas, boosted by rising demand in the resurgent business travel sector.

The world's leading hotel operator, which makes 70% of its profit in the US, also said revenue per available room, a key industry measure of profit, in its 557 redesigned Holiday Inns rose 7.9% during the quarter.

IHG (up 12p at 1225p) is also teaming up with New York-listed Las Vegas Sands to offer its customers access to several iconic hotels in Vegas, including the Palazzo and the Venetian.
