Palos makes bid for Kandahar

Brett Palos, the stepson of fashion tycoon Sir Philip Green, has tabled a £190m bid for the property empire of David Ross, the co-founder of Carphone Warehouse and high profile Conservative party donor.

Ross's Kandahar Group last year breached loan covenants on a £247m facility from Bank of Scotland, part of the Lloyds Banking Group.

Kandahar has already agreed to sell its Drake Circus shopping mall in Plymouth to British Land for £235m.
