Speedy Hire sees revenue growth
Speedy Hire, which rents tools and equipment to the construction industry, powered through the downturn with a focus on the resilient water and waste sectors.
The Liverpool-based firm reported an 8.8% increase in revenues for the 14 weeks to February 13 compared to the same period the previous year.
This didn't include equipment sales, which increased 23%.
Speedy (up 0.5p to 30p) had made a £4.6m underlying loss in the first half of its financial year to the end of September but said yesterday it could return to profit at an underlying level in the second half.
