BAE clinches £8m deal for Tornado
British defence manufacturer BAE Systems, up 2p at 339p, has been awarded an urgent £8m order to fit Britain's fleet of Tornados with better targeting systems.
The aircraft will be equipped with a helmet-mounted system which will project visual targeting symbols on to the visor of a pilot's helmet, in front of one eye.
It will improve aiming and sighting targets.
Spokesman Martin Taylor said: 'BAE Systems recognises its responsibility to support the men and women of our armed forces with the best possible equipment.'
