Pru rebellion against chairman over AIA debacle
The chairman of the Prudential is set to suffer a damaging rebellion over his part in the AIA debacle at the insurer's annual general meeting tomorrow.
US funds giant Fidelity and a number of other major shareholders are expected to vote against Harvey McGrath's re-election to the board after the Pru blew £377m on its failed pursuit of its Asian rival.
Yesterday around a fifth of investors in Standard Life failed to endorse its executive pay policies.
The attack focused on a possible £3.7m package for SL boss Keith Skeoch.
