Irn-Bru maker AG Barr is fizzing
AG Barr, the Scottish maker of Irn-Bru, said sales grew by 6.3% in the 15 weeks to May 14 compared with the same period of last year, despite increased advertising from its competitors and an uncertain consumer environment.
'The good underlying momentum may have been assisted by the reasonable weather at the start of the year, with a particularly dry and warm April,' Investec analyst Nicola Mallard said.
She is keeping to her prudent sales forecasts ahead of the key summer months but raised her price target to 1510p from 1393p.
