Sales of Britvic’s still drinks fell 5.2 per cent in the UK as volumes fell 4 per cent despite the company cutting average prices.
Its Irish business also had a difficult quarter, with sales down 8.3 per cent and in France they were down 1.5 per cent. But Britvic’s international business saw a 9.5 per cent jump in quarterly sales.
Shares in Britvic, down nearly a third year-to-date, were up 19.7p to 328p.
