BRAVEHEART Investment Group said yesterday that it had led a fourth round of funding, of about £500,000, for portfolio company AppShare, based at Hillington on the outskirts of Glasgow, writes Ian McConnell.

Investors included Perth-based Braveheart and its clients, the Strathclyde Innovation Fund, the Scottish Co-investment Fund and the University of Strathclyde.

AppShare's technology allows the sharing of electronic information and software applications between groups at different geographical locations. Braveheart noted that AppShare's software had been piloted successfully by a UK listed company which now planned to roll out the technology.
