A £925m blow for newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror
DAILY Mirror and Sunday Mirror publisher Trinity Mirror yesterday said it was facing one-off charges of £925million.
Its profits will be hit by a £225million write-down of the value of titles and publishing rights while its balance sheet faces a £700million charge against the value of investments in subsidiaries.
Chief executive Simon Fox said the charges were “driven by technical accounting requirements”.
In a trading update the company said group revenues in November and December fell by one per cent.
