HAYS, the recruitment firm, has announced plans to move to bigger offices in Glasgow.

It will also recruit seven more consultants following a big increase in demand from construction firms.

Hays will move from its existing premises in Glasgow's West Regent Street to the refurbished Spectrum building in Blythswood Street later this month.

It expects to increase consultant numbers in Glasgow to 72 from 65.

Hays' Scotland managing director, Akash Marwaha, said: "The Glasgow office has consistently delivered growth even throughout the downturn, and continues to be one of the top performing offices in the UK."
