IOMART has been picked to join Microsoft??s cloud computing programme in the UK.
The Glasgow business joins a small number of companies chosen by the technology giant to bill, manage and support its Office 365 product in the cloud.
AIM-listed Iomart said it hopes to increase sales of Microsoft products as it will be able to manage the entire sales, set-up and support process for customers.
Angus MacSween, chief executive, said: ??We are delighted to have been chosen by Microsoft as one of only a handful of cloud providers to work with them on this programme in Europe.
??Interest in the cloud is growing at a tremendous rate and we have invested heavily in the infrastructure and skills to support this.
??Joining the Cloud Solution Provider programme and fully supporting and integrating Office 365 into our offering allows us to build stronger relationships with our customers and provide them with the best cloud solutions to enhance their business.??
Iomart already works with companies including EMC, Dell, Stagecoach and Pernod Ricard.
Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president of the worldwide partner group at Microsoft, said: ??The Cloud Solution Provider Program puts our partners at the centre of the customer relationship. Through participation these partners have demonstrated dedication to helping our mutual customers successfully move to the cloud.??
