Assura offers help to NHS amid Covid-19 pandemic

(Sharecast News) - Primary care centre operator Assura said on Thursday that it was in discussions with the National Health Service as to how it could help amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Assura said it was helping tenants to make the best use of space available in their buildings for temporary use in additional consulting, testing and respiratory care and offering vacant space to the NHS.

The company added that it would pay a quarterly dividend of 0.697p a share.

The FTSE 250-listed firm added that it expected delays to completion of new sites as the government-imposed lockdown led to a closure of building sites. March quarter rents were being received in line with normal patterns despite the outbreak.

Chief executive Jonathan Murphy said: "Assura is working closely with the NHS and our GP partners to make sure we can best support the health service through the Covid-19 crisis."

As of 0830 BST, Assura shares were up 1.43% at 83.99p.
