Arena Events Group secures 'multi-million pound' Commonwealth Games contract

(Sharecast News) - Events solutions provider Arena Events Group has been awarded a "multi-million pound contract" to deliver one of many venue clusters at the XXII Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Arena Events said on Tuesday that at a high level, the contract award included the planning, design, schedule management, building control services, supply, installation, maintenance and removal of a range of structures, seating and associated infrastructure.
However, the AIM-listed group noted that given the timing of the event, with the games set to take place in 2022, the majority of revenues associated with the contract were not expected to be recognised until the financial year ending 31 March 2023.
As of 0850 BST, Arena Events shares were down 2.10% at 15.18p.
