Retirement of Director

Schroder Japan Growth Fund plc (the "Company") announces that as part of the refreshment of the board, Mr Richard Greer has retired as a non-executive director, effective today.

The board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Greer for his invaluable contribution to the deliberations of the directors during his tenure in office.
