The objective of the sub-fund is to achieve returns commensurate with prevailing rates, while maintaining a low level of risk.
The offer price of the accumulation units in the Fund has risen by 3.3% during the year under review. Since launch the offer price of accumulation units the Fund has risen by 20.6%. The average maturityof the Fund is relatively short reflecting our view that base rates will not be cut further.
Given the strength of the housing market we do not expect a further interest rate cut, but with inflation seemingly under control base rates are likely to remain low for the foreseeable future.
