Cisco Systems Overview

Cisco Systems is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. Founded in 1984 by a group of computer scientists from Stanford University, Cisco manufactures and sells networking and communications products and provides services associated with that equipment and its use. These products and services are used by corporations, public institutions, telecommunication companies, commercial businesses and personal residences around the globe. Employing around 34,000 people worldwide, the company generated revenues in the year ended 26 July 2003 of almost $19bn.
