LONDON (ShareCast) - Home-shopping fashion retailer N Brown Group said that trading performance had improved since September following a reported decline in revenues.
In its previous update, the group warned of lower full-year profit after a drop in revenue in September. At the time of the announcement in October, N Brown's sales had suffered due to an unseasonably mild autumn resulting in a weak start to the group's second half.

However, N Brown reported on Wednesday that it had returned to growth in October and November, aided by revamp operations and the re-launch of its JD Williams brand.

Overall, the group reported that turnover for the third quarter declined by 2.3% with year-to-date sales down 1.2%.

Chef executive Angela Spindler said: "We are pleased with the strength in our customer activity levels and sales during November. We have seen an excellent response from both existing and new customers to planned higher profile brand activity on our JD Williams, Simply Be and Jacamo power brands."

As of 08:47 on Wednesday, the group's share price rose 3.36% to 338.10p per share.
