James Fisher acquires National Hyperbaric Centre for £4.5m

Date: Tuesday 10 Feb 2015

LONDON (ShareCast) - Fisher (James) and Sons (JF) has acquired the National Hyperbaric Centre in Aberdeen for £3.5m in cash plus a potential £1m earn-out based on future contracts to be undertaken between completion and 31 March 2016.
The centre is used for testing subsea industry equipment as well as for patients of the NHS Grampian. Post-acquisition it will become part of the JFD division, which incorporates JF Defence and JF Divex.

Managing director of JFD Mike Howarth said: "I am delighted with the acquisition of NHC, which further extends our range of services to the subsea industry and consolidates our world leading position in the design, manufacture, testing and operation of hyperbaric reception facilities and other subsea equipment."
