LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - South and Central American-focussed upstream gas company Echo Energy announced the appointment of Will Holland as its new chief financial officer on Tuesday.
The AIM-traded firm said Holland was a "proven financier" with operational experience spanning more than 20 years in the upstream industry.
Originally technically focused, he had spent the majority of his career in commercial, financial and M&A roles.
Holland was bringing "significant experience" in corporate acquisitions, setting up and growing small cap E&P companies, debt and equity financing, balance sheet restructuring and investor relations, the board said - much of which was gained working on deals in Latin America.
He most recently held the position of executive vice president of business development at Sound Energy.
Holland has an engineering degree from Warwick University and an MBA from Heriot Watt University.
"I'm delighted to have Will as part of the executive team at Echo," said CEO Fiona MacAulay.
"He brings a wealth of financial and M&A experience that will be crucial as we continue to grow the business."
