LONDON (ShareCast) - Hargreaves Services, a supplier of solid fuels and bulk material logistics, has announced that Northumberland County Council has resolved to grant planning permission for the Well Hill Surface Mine, near Morpeth, Northumberland.
The site contains 130,000 tonnes of high quality coal which the company plans to extract over a two-year period.
Chief Executive Gordon Banham said: "Although Well Hill is a small project, we are delighted to gain consent for our first site in Northumberland and to start to build on our success with the Tower project in South Wales."
The share price rose 1.91% to 720p by 11:25.
