LONDON (ShareCast) - Nickel-copper exploration company Amur Minerals Corporation said that its mining licence application for the Kun-Manie prospect in eastern Russia has progressed to the final stage.
The licence application has now been forwarded to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Once approved, the firm will move into its production phase with the project.
Chief executive Robin Young said: "We are pleased to inform our shareholders that the license conversion process continues to move forward [...] all required Russian government agencies have now approved our application on the strategic asset of Kun-Manie and we now await final sign-off by the Prime Minister, Mr. Dmitry Medvedev."
As of 10:51 on Monday, the group's share price sky rocketed 23.77% to 11.35p per share.
