LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Commercial passenger aircraft leasing company Avation confirmed on Friday that it had leased two Airbus A321 aircraft to the now-defunct Thomas Cook Airlines.
The London-listed firm said they had now been repossessed, and ferried from Manchester and Gatwick airports to an aircraft maintenance and repair organisation outside the UK.

It said the two aircraft would undergo routine calendar airframe maintenance checks, and would be marketed and delivered to another airline in due course.

"Avation is pleased with the success of our technical team in quickly repossessing and repositioning the two aircraft previously operated by Thomas Cook," said the company's executive chairman Jeff Chatfield.

"These two Airbus A321 aircraft are relatively new at approximately 3.5 years old and in our view are in superb condition.

"They will be marketed globally in a state fresh from a 2C airframe check and we anticipate them being in high demand amongst airlines."
