LONDON (ShareCast) - Ceres shares fell 44.44% after the company, which identifies and develops natural, sustainable and environmentally-friendly advertising and marketing products, said that it continues to experience slower than expected uptake of its product range.

The firm is working with its end-users and manufactures to refine its product offerings and says it has seen continued interest and awareness in its product from end users.

However, in light of the materially poorer than anticipated sales to date the company is actively reviewing the current sales strategy.

Furthermore, as a result of ill health, chief financial officer Matthew Howes has resigned with immediate effect.

A financial controller has been appointed to the company effective 5 December, who will report directly to the board.

The share price fell 44.44% to 3.12p by 12:48.
