LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - WANdisco, the global leader in Active Data Replication, announced on Tuesday that its patented technology, WANdisco Fusion, has now been integrated with AWS Snowball, a petabyte-scale data transport solution.
The solution, according to the company, employs secures appliances to transfer excessive amounts of data in and out of the Amazon Web Services Cloud.

Customers could also utilise the bulk transfer capabilities of AWS Snowball in order to transfer both static and changing information from Big Data applications to Amazon's Simple Storage Service.

David Richards, chief executive officer and Interim Chairman of WANdisco, commented: "By using WANdisco Fusion® for AWS Snowball, customers can transfer large quantities of data to the cloud not only significantly faster and cheaper than if they were transferring data over the network, but also with the unique benefits of consistent, coordinated replication.
