LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Retirement products specialist Just Group has appointed Andy Parsons - who has been group finance director at LV= since June 2017 - as its new chief financial officer.
Parsons, whose appointment follows an "extensive" search after the departure of Simon Thomas last October, will join the company in January. With a finance career spanning 25 years, he has held executive positions at several leading financial institutions and has particular expertise in life and general insurance.

Prior to joining LV=, he held the roles of finance director, divisional risk officer and life, pensions and investment director for the insurance business of Lloyds Banking Group. Before that, he worked at Friends Life, AXA and Zurich Financial Services in a number of executive financial roles.

Interim group chief executive David Richardson said: "We are delighted to welcome Andy to Just Group. He brings with him commercial as well as financial expertise, and substantial experience of insurance businesses.

"We are confident this will benefit Just Group as we continue to focus on disciplined capital management. I am looking forward to working closely with him."

At 1515 BST, the shares were up 1.7% at 50.15p.
