One Health flags revenue, earnings 'significantly ahead' of last year

LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - One Health Group said in an update on Monday that revenue and earnings for the six months ended 30 September were significantly ahead of the prior year, supported by continued growth across all operational metrics and robust demand for NHS-funded procedures.
Revenue rose 17% to £15.5m, while new NHS patient referrals increased 16% to 9,111.

The number of consultations grew 22% to 23,927 and surgical procedures rose 17% to 4,009.

The group also expanded its consultant base by 14% to 80, added new outreach clinics and increased the number of operating facilities to 12, up 20% year on year.

Underlying EBITDA for the period was expected to be "significantly ahead" of the £0.96m reported in the first half of the prior year.

Strong cash generation left the company with £10.8m at the half year, compared with £4.9m a year earlier, reflecting IPO proceeds and land purchases to support investment in a new surgical hub.

One Health said it remained on track to deliver full-year results in line with market expectations for revenue of £29.6m and underlying EBITDA of £2.3m.

The company said it was continuing to pursue a strategy of organic growth through higher patient referrals, recruitment of additional surgeons, and expanded surgical capacity across independent sector hospitals.

Planning approval was granted during the period for its first new-build surgical hub, which will provide additional "owned" operating capacity in underserved areas.

Construction was expected to begin before year-end, with operations targeted to commence by the end of 2026.

"The continuing dedication and tenacity of the team, building on the strong performance and momentum generated last year, has resulted in a strong first half with impressive growth achieved across all key performance metrics," said chief executive Adam Binns.

"The number of patients choosing to be referred to One Health as their provider of care following a GP appointment continues to increase as the public become more aware of 'Patient Choice' and their legislative right to choose local, high quality secondary care, free at the point of delivery, with short waiting times."

He added that post-operative feedback averaged 99% positive in the first half, describing it as "a testament to the dedication and skill of our entire team".

Binns said the company anticipated further growth in NHS Trust referrals in the second half as trusts looked to reduce waiting lists amid continuing system pressures and the approach of the winter period.

One Health said it would announce its half-year results in early December.

At 1137 GMT, shares in One Health Group were up 5.88% at 234p.
