LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Clean technology company Verditek named former RECOM Solar director Laura Azpilicueta as its new chief sales officer on Wednesday.
Verditek was confident Azpilicueta's proven track record as a sales and marketing professional would benefit its solar business and convert its roof-ready leads and partnerships into a solid order book for the AIM-listed group.

Before joining RECOM, where she worked within the firm's business strategy and market analysis division, Azpilicueta was the senior vice-president of EVASA's global sales and business development unit.

Azpilicueta said: "The CSO position at Verditek offers me a great opportunity to assemble a team of sales professionals and deliver value to our shareholders. I am excited by the prospect of using my experience and network to build a sales pipeline"

Chief executive Geoff Nesbitt added: "Together with the operations team in Lainate I am confident we have the professionals in place to deliver our premium product to market."

As of 1200 GMT, Verditek shares had picked up 1.16% to 5.44p.
