Verditek inks collaboration deal with Optimeyes Energy

By Josh White

Date: Wednesday 29 May 2019

LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Verditek announced on Wednesday that it had signed a framework agreement with Optimeyes Energy, to advance commercial opportunities jointly.
The AIM-traded firm said that under the arrangement, the two companies would collaborate on projects in which Verditek technology and expertise could be used to the advantage of Optimeyes projects which were under development in Europe.

Several projects were currently being developed, it reported, which would demonstrate the synergies that the two firms could offer working together.

Verditek said it was developing opportunities for its "lightweight and semi-flexible" solar panels manufactured in Italy.

The products addressed projects that otherwise could not consider a photovoltaic solar solution due to weight restrictions, installation challenges, or architectural aesthetics, with the company claiming it delivered more watts per weight.

Optimeyes was a project developer providing clients with integrated solutions in renewable energy generation projects in the EU and the UK.

Verditek said it had developed a "full range" of services comprising energy compliance audits, optimisation analysis for businesses, energy efficiency programs to reduce utility spending, and had a track record in creating financial instruments to ease client entry into capital purchases that reduce the long-term burden of utility costs.

"we are happy to be working together with Verditek and capitalise on our experience in developing renewable energy projects," said Optimeyes chief operating officer Miguel Matias.

"We see many opportunities in introducing hybrid energy solutions for our clients which benefit from the Verditek technology."

Dr Geoff Nesbitt, chief executive officer of Verditek, added that he was "pleased" the teams were working intensely, developing attractive products and terms that would provide clients with "compelling" commercial opportunities.

"Together we have the network, skills and experience to create everything clients and investors need to benefit from a solar photovoltaic system and long-term contract.

"We will continue to look for prospects that become possible due to our unique product attributes and financial savvy that we bring to the table."
