LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Schroders reported total assets under management of £752.7bn at the end of its first quarter in an update on Thursday, rising from £731.6bn at the end of December.
The FTSE 100 asset manager said private assets and alternatives rose to £55.6bn from £53.7bn, while 'solutions' jumped to £234.5bn from £198.1bn.
Mutual funds weakened, to £109.7bn from £116bn, while institutional assets were also down, to £156.2bn from £166.2bn.
Those four combined made for an asset management total of £556bn at the end of the quarter, up from £81.2bn three months earlier.
Wealth management was down to £80.4bn from £81.2bn, making for a total excluding joint ventures and associates of £636.4bn, which was up from £615.2bn.
Joint ventures and associates contributed £116.3bn by the end of the first quarter, which was broadly in line with the £116.4bn Schroders reported at the end of December.
At 0903 BST, shares in Schroders were up 0.41% at 2,425p.
