LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Omega Diagnostics announced on Tuesday that the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), formerly the China Food and Drug Administration, has approved its 'Food Detective' test for self-test use in China.
The AIM-traded firm had received approval for laboratory use of the Food Detective test in China in April.
It said its development team had worked in conjunction with its distribution partner to support their efforts to achieve NMPA approval, to allow the test to be used in people's homes, since then.
The company said it would support its distribution partner, to ensure that Food Detective achieved commercial success in China as an approved home-use test.
"I am delighted to receive self-test approval in China which was a key commercial objective for this year," said chief executive officer Colin King.
"This is another excellent reward for all the hard work put in by both our and our partner's teams in what has remained challenging times around the world."
At 1208 GMT, shares in Omega Diagnostics were flat at 75p.
