LONDON (ShareCast) - Bio-decontamination equipment products manufacturer Bioquell announced on Tuesday the appointment of Michael Roller as the group’s new Finance Director.

Roller qualified as an accountant with KPMG and has ample experience in the finance function, including within the life sciences sector.

His most recent assignment at that post was with orthopaedic equipment manufacturer Corine.

Roller is currently a Non-Executive Director of Filtronic, a manufacturer of customised microwave subsystems for the telecommunications industry. He was appointed to the board of that FTSE Fledgling company on June 1st 2013.

He will take over his new responsibilities at Bioquell effective on February 10th. Nevertheless, he will only directly assume the role on March 18th, following the announcement of the group’s full-year results.

Nigel Keen, Chairman, highlighted Roller’s “extensive and highly relevant experience", adding that the firm looks forward to the contribution which he will make to the next stage of growth of the business.

As of 15:00 the company’s share price was trading unchanged at 155p.
