Asian equities were volatile throughout the six months under review, as the effects of global financial turbulence were felt across the region. In the last couple of months investors s have moved their money to less volatile areas, with the result that Asian stock markets fell sharply in May and June.Some of the most pronounced share price movements have been in India and China. Stock markets in these countries had led the region higher in recent years, but recently they have seen some of the biggest losses.
