LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Games Workshop disclosed a number of share purchases made by directors on Tuesday, with its chair Elaine O'Donnell and her husband spending almost £60,000.
The FTSE 250 maker of Warhammer table-top fantasy game said O'Donnell had bought 357 shares for 7,731p each, for a total of £27,599.67.

Her husband, Andrew Curwen, bought 350 shares for 7,699p each, making for a transaction value of £26,946.50.

Games Workshop said that as a result, O'Donnell and her family now had an ultimate beneficial interest of 5,800 shares, representing 0.02% of its issued share capital.

The firm also disclosed that non-executive director Kate Marsh had acquired 378 shares for 7,850p each, spending £29,673 on the purchase.

That meant Marsh now had an ultimate beneficial interest of 378 shares, representing less than 0.01% of Games Workshop's issued share capital.

On the selling side of the ledger, JD Wetherspoon said its finance director Ben Whitley had sold 1,000 of its shares on the London Stock Exchange.

Whitley sold the shares in the FTSE 250 pub operator for 906p each, netting him £9,060 for the sale.
