LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust has appointed Justin Dowley to its board.
The FTSE 250 firm said Dowley would join as a non-executive director.
Dowley has been head of Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch Europe, a director at Morgan Grenfell and a founding partner of Tricorn Partners.
In an announcement, Scottish Mortgage said Dowley was current chairman of Intermediate Capital Group plc and a non-executive director of Melrose Industries plc, the National Crime Agency and a number of private companies.
The appointment was to be ratified by shareholders at the next annual general meeting.
Shares in Scottish Mortgage were up 0.53% to 266.90p at 0940 BST on Tuesday.
