LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - A Fevertree Drinks director sucked up £242,915 of shares in the premium mixers maker following a sharp selloff in the past fortnight.
Kevin Havelock, a non-executive director of the company and a 30-year Unilever veteran, bought a total of 8,240 ordinary shares at a volume weighted average price of 2,948p. His wife also snapped up 675 shares at a price of 2,972p.

Fevertree shares, having touched £41 last month, have lost a third of their value, with a 27% slide since 3 October.

Small investors, having enjoyed a 2,200% gain in the AIM-listed outfit since it floated at 134p in last 2014, have had a good excuse to take some profits recently as fears have grown that the thirst for its tonic water could be losing its fizz. Sales growth in the UK slowed to 37.7% in the four-weeks to mid-September, according to recent industry data from Nielsen, from 75.2% in the preceding four weeks.

This week analysts at Jefferies reiterated a 'buy' on the shares, passing of the slowdown as inevitable as the customer base widens. He said the fizzy drinks market was "moderating" after the hot weather in July and August. Last week, Berenberg said Fevertree's shares may appear expensive, but the premium mixers market could triple by 2022 and "dramatically" increase earnings.

Elsewhere, STV Group's outgoing chief financial officer George Watt sold 40,000 ordinary shares in the London-listed television and media group on Thursday. Watt, who joined STV as its finance director back in 2001, disposed of the shares at an average price of 369p each, for a total of £147,600.

STV revealed Watt would be leaving the company after two decades of service last week.

The Scottish broadcaster said Watt will step down from his post on 31 March to "pursue a non-executive career".

Watt said: "After 20 years with the group, I am excited about embarking upon the next chapter of my career. I am excited about the future prospects of the business under Simon's leadership as the strategic growth plan is delivered."

STV recently reported a jump in interim revenues and profits.

As of 1630 BST, STV shares had slipped 0.51% to 367.12p.
