LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Travis Perkins said on Tuesday that it is making "good progress" in the demerger of its Wickes business, which it announced back in June.
The building materials supplier said that its split from the DIY retailer is on course to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.
The FTSE 250 company also gave a presentation on the future of Wickes, saying it was aiming to become "the partner of choice for home improvers and local trade". It also noted that the £25bn home improvement market is growing at 2.5% per year.
The company will host a capital markets event focusing on the chain on 29 January.
Travis Perkins shares were down by 1.77% at 1,526.00p at 1000 GMT.
