LONDON (ShareCast) - Oliver Hemsley, the Chief Executive Officer of Numis, has traded in three million shares, reducing his stake by almost a quarter to 9.4m.

The 270p-a-share disposal generated £8.1m.

The sale comes around one month after the group posted a 59% jump in first half revenue at £51.5m.

Adjusted pre-tax profit more than doubled from £9.2m to £20.7m, while on a statutory basis climbed to £16.7m.

At the time Hemsley said the group was "determined to build our franchise with the goal of becoming the pre-eminent independent broking and advisory business in the UK".


Meanwhile, Lynn Fordham, a non-executive director at pubs group Fuller, Smith & Turner, has celebrated a strong set of annual results with the purchase of 9,850 shares.

Bought at 1,010p each, the value of the transaction totalled £99,485.

Last week, the group revealed that pub grub and accommodation helped froth up its annual sales and profits, prompting an 11% hike in its dividend to 9.3p.

Fuller's, which makes the flagship London Pride ale, said food and accommodation did particularly well during the year, with like-for-like sales in both areas rising by 10.4%.

The group's adjusted profit before tax lifted 10% to £34.1m on a 6% rise in revenue to £288m.
