LONDON (ShareCast) - Recruitment and conferencing firm RTC Group has acquired RIG Energy from Recruitment Investment Group for £875,000.
The firm said RIG Energy will be integrated into its subsidiary Ganymede Solutions, which provides contingent and temporary labour into safety critical environments.

"This acquisition is an important step in RTC's strategy of building critical mass across each of its core recruitment businesses," said group chief executive Andy Pendlebury.

"RIG Energy is a very successful, professionally run company that will add significant value and diversification to our Ganymede brand by bringing a new area of expertise to the Group complementary to our existing provision of labour into safety critical environments."

RTC shares were up 4.75% to 41.90p at 08:42 on Monday.
