LONDON (ShareCast) - Harold Mitchell, a senior board member of Aegis Group, the FTSE-250 media and digital communications group, has made a double sale of shares in the month following its better-than-expected full year results.

Mitchell, who is the Executive Chairman of Aegis Media Pacific, sold 150,000 shares at 5.5p each on April 10th, six days after he sold 400,000 shares for the same price. Together, the sales earned the director £990,365.

Mitchell's sale made the most of the boost to the group's share price,
which is up over 36% since the same date a year ago.

The firm announced in March that it had beaten analyst forecasts for 2011 with profits jumping by a third. Pre-tax profits for 2011 at the firm came in at £161.8m, up 32% on the year before and beating expectations of £148.3m.

Earnings per share were 10.1p, up 29% on the previous year, with the company saying it would pay a dividend of 3.2p.
