LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Recruitment and training business Staffline added Passionate About People to the wider group for an undisclosed sum on Monday, in line with its acquisition criteria.
Passionate About People is made up of two companies - Omega Resource Group, a leading UK provider of blue-collar, flexible, staffing solutions to the aerospace, automotive, construction, energy, logistics and manufacturing sectors, and Datum RPO, a leading provider of recruitment process outsourcing solutions to blue-chip clients.

Staffline told investors that its acquisition was consistent with its strategy of accelerating growth in its recruitment division through select, complementary purchases that bring strategic benefits to the broader group.

The AIM-listed firm maintained the acquisition would broaden it's UK footprint, in particular in South West England, with branches in Swindon and Gloucester.

In its last trading year, Passionate About People reported revenues of £72m and an operating profit of £2m. Consideration will be funded from Staffline's existing resources.

Staffline's chief executive Chris Pullen, saidL "The acquisition supports Staffline Recruitment's vision to be the trusted market leader, providing a single destination for blue- collar workers and employers to connect across the UK. I look forward to welcoming the Passionate About People team to the group."

As of 1630 BST, Staffline shares had ticked up 0.81% to 1,252p.
