LONDON (ShareCast) - Minerals investment and development group Rare Earth Minerals has announced the pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its project in Western Australia will be completed by the end of the year.
The news comes after the group's joint-venture partner for its Yangibana rare earth project, Hasting Rare Metals, also said the survey will be finalised in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Rare Earth said a team of consultants, including Snowden Mining, ATC Williams and Mount Magnet Drilling, had been appointed to conduct the study, with the latter set to undertake diamond drilling and reverse circulation for the study.
The London-listed company said that the PFS will focus on expanding the existing JORC resource by means of drilling at a number of deposits identified last year.
"We are pleased with the appointment of a highly experienced PFS team, including individuals well-versed in developing REE deposits," said group chairman David Lenigas.
"We eagerly anticipate the outcome of the study and are confident that this team will enable the acceleration of its delivery."
Rare Earth shares were up 0.90% to 1.23p at 09:36 on Wednesday.
