LONDON (ShareCast) - Oil & gas explorer and producer IGas Energy has taken a step forward in its drive to expand its oil operations in the North West of England.
The company announced the start of drilling on a well at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire on Saturday. According to IGas, the vertical exploration well will allow future scope for development in the region.
IGas already has stakes in 37 UK onshore oil exploration and production licences in the East Midlands and the Weald basin in southern England.
As of 14:13 on Monday, the firm's share price slipped 1.54% to 56.25p per share
