LONDON (ShareCast) - Sound Oil, the Italian focused upstream oil and gas company, has reported that on April 19th, UNMIG (the Italian Ministry of Economic Development) completed a successful commissioning inspection of the onshore Rapagnano gas field, with the endorsement of the local fire brigade.
Gas production is expected to start before the end of the month, the company said.
James Parsons, Chief Executive Officer of Sound Oil, commented: "We are pleased to report the successful commissioning and will shortly achieve the strategic milestones of first gas and first revenue.
"Rapagnano is one of our smaller assets however it establishes the company as a gas producer and builds a foundation for further growth."
Sound Oil’s share price was up 3.17% to 8.12p at 11:47 on Monday.
