LONDON (ShareCast) - Patrice Theroux, President of the Film division of Entertainment One has sold nearly 1.8m pounds-worth of shares in the company via two separate transactions, it announced on Monday.

Theroux disposed of 665,462 at a price of 240.1p on December 5th and offloaded a further 75,000 at 240p the following day, raising a total of £1.78m.

The company said the transactions are part of an intended disposal of a total of 1.5m shares and it would update the market when those sales have taken place.

His holding following the sales was reduced to just under 3.9m shares, equal to a 1.4% stake.

Just last week, the firm announced that Chief Executive Darren Throop had sold nearly 800,000 shares in four rounds, raising a total of £1.89m over a period of seven days.

The moves come after a +40% gain in Entertainment One's share price since the start of 2013.

The FTSE 250-listed group in November revealed it had more than doubled its earnings in the first half, thanks to strong acquisition-fuelled growth in its film distribution business.
