LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Commercial property investment business CLS Holdings said on Thursday it had secured five "significant leases" in the last three weeks across Germany, amounting to 91,865 square feet, in Cologne, Essen, Berlin and Munich.
CLS said it and the Federal State of North Rhein-Westphalia had agreed to a ten-year lease for 35,908 square feet of space at Office Connect in the Cologne Airport Business Park, while the second lease was for 28,062 square foot on a ten-year term with an educational institution at The Brix in Essen and the third lease was with Humboldt University in Berlin for a 14,176 square foot site on a seven-year lease.
The final two leases were for 13,719 square feet in Flexion, Berlin and Ideenwerk in Munich.
Chief executive Fredrik Widlund said: "These lettings further confirm that the demand for high-quality office space is bouncing back strongly and significantly reduce our vacancies in Germany. These properties offer well located and flexible office space close to public transport and within easy reach of their respective city centres.
"These achievements also highlight the significant benefits of having a dedicated in-house asset management team with local expertise. We look forward to working together with the new tenants to create a sustainable and attractive space for their employees and students."
As of 0945 GMT, CLS shares were up 0.73% at 208.0p.
