LONDON (ShareCast) - Shopping centre developer Capital & Regional (C&R) increased the value of its flagship Mall portfolio in the last three months, it said on Wednesday.
C&R, whose shopping centre brands include Kingfisher and Waterside as well as The Mall, said the value of the Mall portfolio of community shopping centres rose 2.5% to £723m at 30 September from £705.2m at the end of June.
Chief executive Hugh Scott-Barrett said: "It is encouraging to see a further increase in valued income in the third quarter which, when combined with yield compression of 12 basis points, has contributed to the 2.5% increase in Mall property values in the period."
Shares in C&R rose 0.5p or 1% to 48.5p at 09:31 in London.
