LONDON (ShareCast) - Worldwide marine services providerJames Fisher and Sons has announced that its subsidiary Strainstall UK has been awarded a contract to provide structural monitoring technology and engineering support to the new Forth crossing in Scotland.
The group said that the multi-million pound contract would involve the installation over four years of a range of complex monitoring technologies to the bridge during its construction, providing real-time data to allow continuous remote monitoring of precise movements and loadings.
Nick Henry, Chief Executive Officer of James Fisher said: "The fact that Strainstall has been selected for this contract is testament to our specific expertise and international reputation as a leader in the provision of structural monitoring adding to Strainstall's impressive track record of long span bridge monitoring technology."
